Walkers news: April 19 -- St. Louis 5, Rockford 4

Record: 8-3, 1st, 1 GA Springfield
St. Louis scored five runs over the course of the first three innings and held on for a 5-4 win over Rockford at RFK Stadium (1962).
Bo Bichette tallied the game's first run after he was hit by Alex Reyes pitch to lead off the game.
He later scored when Andrew Benintendi hit into a doubleheader. T
Tanner Kohlhepp drove in Carlos Vidal, who had walked, with a single.
Jean Carmona opened the second for St. Louis with a single off Reyes and scored on a Bichette sacrifice fly.
In the third, Benintendi hit a one-out homer off Reyes.
Kohlhepp followed that with a walk ,
He stole second and made it to third when catcher Evan Skoug's throw went into the outfielder.
Jared Thomas chased Kohlhepp home with a sacrifice fly.
The Lightning got all three of their runs in the sixth, ending a shutout bid by Walkers starting pitcher Alex Faedo.
Drew Mendoza and Drew Ellis both reached on one-out single.
Gage Canning, who had hit two homers the previous day, then launched another one to make it 5-3.
Rockford sliced that deficit to 5-4 in the eight, when Mike Courtney led off with a single against Jake Brentz and scored on a double by Ellis.
Brentz, however, struck out Carlos Correa and Canning to end the inning
In the ninth, closer Edwin Diaz struck out the first two batters before allowing a single to Willi Castro.
But Diaz whiffed Rosario to end it.
Faedo (1-1) pitched six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. He struck out six and walked none.
Dan Jennings worked through a scoreless seventh inning, before giving way to Brentz and than Diaz.
It was Diaz' third save of the season.
