Here's an edited screen from TB 2.5. How about having the points scored optional so, if you don't want to see them you can turn it off in the main options panel after you boot up the game? [In 2.5 they are down below while in 2013 they are on top.] That section of the screen looks more suitable to amateur competition than the pros. Also have the bars in stronger colours reflecting the Red corner and Blue corner.
