Gerhard Zech's 13th fight.... 1961-04-28 Sports Palace, Berlin, Germany

Jose Peyre-1 Overall Rating
Nationality- Belgium
b. 1933-03-26
d.
Career, 1955-70
BoxRec. 021200
Record 10 wins / 24 losses / 1 draws / 5 KO
Peyre was one of those fighters looking at his record and who he fought, you wonder why he hung around as long as he did. Fighting pretty much in the France/Germany/Italy sector of Heavyweights he couldn't even stack up against them. He battled against the likes of Alain Cherville, Werner Wiegand, Plinio Scarabellin, Zech, and Mino Bozzano with no success. He did manage to beat Bobby Warmbrunn. Brian London(11-0-0 in his early part of his career) KO'd him in an early round and late in Peyre's career Jose Manuel Urtain Ko'd him in 5 round.
Because of the number of fights he was in. I did an amount of play testing first to tweek around Pryre's ratings to hopefully get them something correct. I fought him around 600 fights in 35 fight sets for his career replay against the 1,2,3 rated HW's. Finally was getting his W/L record, number of stoppages and number of times he was stopped along with average rounds repeating pretty decent. So I think Peyre is rated pretty decent.

Both fighters were set in their Pre-Prime stage. In real life, Zech won by TKO in the 3rd round. In my replay here, Zech put Peyre to the canvas in the 4th round finally, doing it twice, 1st time for a 9 count, then a 5 count. In the 5th round, Zech put Peyre down again and then finally at 2:11 of the 5th round the fight was stopped with a TKO for Zech and his 13th win without defeat.

Next fight up for Zech will be on June 16th, 1961 against Alain Cherville, a Belgium HW of modest success who posted a 23-26-2 Record during his career. When he went up against Zech, Cherville was nearing the end of his career. The fight will be staged at Hamburg, Germany....Be there!!
