One of the OOTP community's longer running leagues, The RLPA, has a few openings in it's latest incarnation, The Preboot. RLPA is in it's 11th year simming after starting with a group of associates brought together at Baseball Think Factory. Our website and forum is located at

RLPA Preboot is a historical league based on the model of our highly successful RLPA Classic (2005-2031) and RLPA Reboot (1985-2012). The Preboot start with the 1962 and contains all 20 real-life teams. We do not use managers, personnel or scouting. I've redone all the player hitting, pitching and fielding ratings to make sure that they are realistic. We have not altered the game-generated personality or injury ratings. Also, the league will have the normal average rating of 100 for talent changes, so it is possible that players will have the normal type of career changes, like Reggie Jackson might fall apart and that Reggie Otero will become a star.
These are the currently available teams:
Baltimore Orioles -- Currently 36-18, 1stin the AL East. Minor league system: 15th. Current stars include Ron Santo, Johnny Edwards, Norm Cash, Rocky Colavito, Bill Mazeroski, Jim Northrup, Sparky Lyle, Mike Cuellar, Stan Williams, Gaylord Perry. Their farm system includes future stars Bill Singer, Ron Reed, Marty Pattin and Steve Carlton (although he's been ravaged by the development engine). They will draft 15th in the upcoming amateur draft.
Boston Red Sox -- Currently 22-31, 5th in the AL East. Minor League system: 9th. Current stats include Orlando Cepeda, Jim O'Toole, Ken Henderson, Milt Pappas, Richard (not Dick) Allen, Tom Tresh and Don Kessinger. Their farm system includes future star like Henderson, Bill Melton, Fritz Peterson, Larry Hisle and Chuck Dobson. They will draft 7th in the upcoming amateur draft.
California Angels -- Currently 22-31, 4th in AL West. Minor League system: 11th. Current stars include Tommie Agee, Frank Robinson, Juan Marichal, Diego Segui, Tony Cloninger, Jim Palmer, Glenn Beckert, Freddie Patek, Maury Wills and Cecil Upshaw. Their prospects include Graig Nettles, Ken Boswell and Vicente Romo. They will draft 8th in the upcoming amateur draft.
Pittsburgh Pirates -- Currently 17-34, 5th in the NL East. Minor League system: 8th. Their current starts are Bill Monbouquette, Al Oliver, Chris Zachary, Larry Sherry, Bobby Mercer, Don Cardwell, Roy McMillan and Lee Maye. Their prospects include Sal Bando, Norm Miller, and Steve Renko. They will draft 2nd in the upcoming amateur draft.
