Halton Hills Free Agents Signings | Offseason
Alexei Emelin, LD, 32 | 6'2, 216LBS | NHL Plus-Minus Reward 2018
2017/2018 - Las Vegas Golden Knights (GP:82, G:14, A:25, PTS:39, PIM:40, +/-:+55 AVG Time: 21:27
Signs: 3 Year Contract: 3.1M Per Season
*GM Baker jumped at the chance of adding the Las Vegas Dman from last season. He proved to be a great 3-4 man for the Vegas Squad, and was the highest +/- player in the league last season. He's a Veteran player with lots of experience. He will be a good edition to the roster and is expected to be a first/second line dman for the upcoming season.

Brett Ritchie, RW, 25, 6'3, 220LBS
2017/2018 - HC Slovan Usti nad Labem (GP:37, G:18, A:22. PTS:40, PIM:40, +/-:0)
Signs: 2 Year Contract: 575K Per Season
*GM Baker brings Ritchie to the team for his size and durability. Ritchie is known for being hard to take outta the game for a long period time and known as "a little" stronger than most players. Brett is expected to be a fine addition to the 3rd/4th line of this team.

Yan Aucoin, RD, 18, 6'0, 219LBS | Elite Bulldogs 2nd Round Pick, 64th Pick in the 2018 Draft
Signs: 3 Year Entry Contract: 575K Per Season
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joe Veleno, C, 18, 6'2, 207LBS | Elite Bulldogs 1st Round Pick, 2nd Pick in the 2018 Draft
Signs: 3 Year Entry Contract: 925K Per Season

Halton Hills Trades during the Free Agents Frenzie | Offseason
Arizona Coyotes Trade:
22, LW: Brendan Perlini (NHL 2017/2018 Stats: GP:71, G:5, A:11, PTS:16, PIM:38, +/-:0)
In Return, Halton Hills Elite Bulldogs Send:
29, LW: Michael Raffl (NHL 2017/2018 Stats: GP:19, G:6, A:5, PTS:11, PIM:6, +/-:+4)
& 3rd Round Draft Pick in 2019
*GM Baker was pleased with the new addition to his squad. Perlni has no trouble performing under pressure and is a playmaker that will be a good addition to either the 2nd or 3rd line. Brendan is another addition that isn't known for being easy to injure, can handle a lot of playing time without fading and is reportedly a player coaches love to have, as Perlini's always willing to learn.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Halton Hills Elite Bulldogs Trade:
24, C: Zemgus Girgensons (NHL 2017/2018 Stats: GP:52, G:7, A:23, PTS:30, PIM:28, +/-:+24)
& 2nd Round Draft Pick in 2019
In Return
Calgary Flames Shipoff:
23, C: Sean Monahan (NHL 2017/2018 Stats: GP:39, G:9, 26, PTS:35, PIM:37, +/-:-14)
*GM Baker took a risk on this trade. Yes, Both players perform extremely well when they're active and not on the injury list. Yes both players can potentially be star players on a team. That being said, both these players struggled last season with injuries. The only thing here that could end up biting GM Baker's butt is the 2nd Round Draft pick given up. If Sean Monahan can complete 70-82 games this upcoming season with the production we know he can, the trade will be well worth the lose of the draft pick. It's a gambling situation for both teams.
