Cardinals notes: Mabry to DL
First baseman/outfielder John Mabry was injured making a play in left field during a 16-1 win over the Dodgers on Aug. 12.
He will be placed on the 10-day disabled list and could miss up to four weeks with shoulder tendinitis that has him listed as day-to-day.
Frank Thomas will come up from AAA Memphis to lend depth at first base.
