Montreal finishes up their road trip with a visit to Winnipeg, Manitoba to face the (6-8-0) Jets at the MTS Center.

The Jets open the scoring on their 2nd PP of the game, RW Alex Gaudet gets his 6th from close in at 4:24 to make it 1-0. RW Robert Cull tries to get a spark going for the Canadiens as he has a fight with RW Alex Gaudet. Montreal does get a goal despite it appearing the momentum swung in the Jets favor, RD Scott Thornton was left all alone in front and walked in scoring his 3rd of the year at 10:57 to tie it up 1-1. Montreal's RW Robert Cull takes a late penalty and the Jets will start the 2nd period on the PP with the score 1-1. The shots on goal are 10-9 for Montreal.

The Jets get an early 2nd period lead when LD Anton Magnusson was set up in front for his 4th of the season at 1:15. The Jets lead 2-1 on the PP goal. It was all Jets in the 2nd period, out shooting Montreal 13-6 for a 2 period total of 22-16 in favour of Winnipeg.

Montreal gets the 2-2 tieing goal as LW David Wass tips in Dominick Heatherington's point shot at 5:25 of the 3rd. For Wass it was his 4th of the year. The Jets take the lead on LD William Burrell's shot from just out side the dot at 6:20 of the 3rd and its now 3-2 Winnipeg. For Burrell it was his 2nd of the year. Montreal ties it up again at 7:46 when C Patrick Atkins redirects D Rinat Sadriyev's shot to make it 3-3. It was Atkins 7th of the year. Montreal goes down 2 men mid way through the 3rd and the Jets will have a lengthy 5 on 3. Montreal kills it without giving up a shot. The Jets and Habs end up with a 3-3 tie as Jets out shot Montreal in the 3rd 10-9 and overall 32-25. The Jets were 3 for 10 on the PP. Jets LD William Burrell was the 1st star with a goal. The 19 year old now has 2 goals and 3 points with 4 PIMs and a +5 rating. The Jets selected Burrell 9th overall in the 2002 NHL entry draft.

Detroit Red Wings RW Eddie Bryant had a goal in a 2-0 win over the Senators. The 27 year old now has 9 goals and 11 points with 4 PIMs and a +10 rating. Bryant was originally a Jet when the league was formed but was traded to the Red Wings after playing just 3 games for the Jets.

New York Islanders RW Ken OIiver had a goal in a 1-1 tie with the Bruins. The 29 year old now has 3 goals and 5 points with 22 PIMs and a +4 rating.

Vegas Golden Knights C Richard Peters had 3 goals and an assist in a 5-0 win over the Jets. The 35 year old now has 9 goals and 15 points in 14 games with 4 PIMs and a +4 rating. Peters was the Goal Scoring Award winner and Points Award winner in 2003 when he had 42 goal and 80 points in 73 games for the Flames and Golden Knights.
