Reliever Pat Brooks to retire at end of season!
Longtime dominant WPK reliever Pat Brooks, a real nemesis of the Brewers during his time pitching for the Phoenix Speed Devils, is finally calling it quits at age 38.
Brooks is second in career WAR among relievers to only sure HOF'er Jamel McNeil, and ranks 8th in career ERA and saves. Twice he has won the Reliever of the Year award and he is a 6-time All-Star. While it is highly unlikely that he will reach the Hall himself, he will be remembered as one of the very good relievers of the early years of the WPK.
