Former Brewer Spencer Wilson has been having a fine season as the starting catcher for the El Paso Dawgs. But that all ended today when it was announced that he would have to sit out the rest of the season after having suffered torn ankle ligaments in a home plate collision in a loss against the Washington Night Train.
On the very same day the most recent tallies of the voting for the All-Star game showed Wilson in a solid second place at catcher for the SJL. But now, even if the hard working backstop should get named to his first All-Star squad, he will not see action in the mid-summer spectacle.
