Runs: 83 Runs allowed: 97
some statistics:
Joe Morgan 2B .162 BA/ .234 OB%
Cody Bellinger RF .207 BA/ .291 OB%
Francisco Lindor SS .236 BA / .320 OB%
Fred Lynn CF .281 BA / .316 OB%, 7 HR, 13 XBH, 17 RBI
Shoeless Joe Jackson LF .237 BA / .310 OB%, 6 XBH
Lou Gehrig DH .214 / .329 OB%, 3 HR, 9 XBH, 8 RBI
Mike Schmidt 3B .246 / .364 OB%, 6 HR, 12 RBI
David Ortiz 1B .255 / .305 OB%, 1 HR, 4 XBH
Gary Carter C (48 AB) .188 / .235 OB%, 3 HR, 3 2B
David Wright playing SS (44 AB) .182 / .250 OB%, HR, 5 RBI
Joe Mauer C (40 AB) .125/.186 OB%
Willie Stargell LF (29 AB) .103 BA / .212 OB%, just an RBI
George Brett 3B (16 AB) .125 / .176 OB%, 0 XBH
Team .211 BA in the first 25 games, I don't have my highest average hitters in but whoof! We remained halfway-competitive because the pitching was pretty great for the most part:
Team 3.76 ERA
Current Rotation
Gooden 6 GS, 2-1, 3.75 ERA
Johan Santana 5 GS, 1-3, 5.72 ERA
Koufax 5 GS, 2-2, 3.65 ERA
Roy Halladay 5 GS, 3-2, 2.60 ERA
David Cone 4 GS, 0-2, 4.62 ERA
BULLPEN
Chapman (Closer) 7 Saves, 11.7 K/9, ...12.60 ERA.
deGrom (Set-up) 10 IP, 3.60 ERA
Middle Relievers Christy Mathewson & Mariano Rivera: 32.1 IP, 4 ER combined.
Long relievers Tim Lincecum & Pedro Martinez 9 innings of work combined, 0 ER allowed.
So the bullpen's been the strength so far, the low BA and OBP the weakness & the rest of the season is...a box of chocolates.
I enjoyed playing against the Fighting Frogs.

Going into June 2034...
Record: 27-26, 2nd place, 3 GB
Runs: 202 Runs Against: 219
Individual Performances to this point:
Morgan (2b) now has 15 extra-base hits and improved his BA/OBP to .185/.276...Yes, that's an improvement from the first month of games.
Bellinger managed to get over the Mendoza line (.229) & has 16 XBH including 6 home runs.
Shortstop Francisco Lindor improved his average to .262 and has 22 RBI on the season.
CF Fred Lynn has 9 HR but is batting just .227 now.
1B/DH Lou Gehrig is hitting just .225 in 151 ABs.
3B Mike Schmidt has been the best hitter on the team so far in most respects with 10 HR, 23 RBI, 25 runs, & a team-leading .323 OB%. Actually, Shoeless Joe Jackson's is slightly better. (.337)
David Ortiz has 16 RBI in 39 games.
David Wright is hitting .204 in 39 games.
Catcher Gary Carter has 5 HR in 95 ABs.
Catcher Joe Mauer is hitting just .189 in the same number of ABs.
Willie Stargell has his average up to .259 with 3 total HR in limited ABs.
George Brett is hitting just .160 in 50 AB.
As far as subbing for any of these players that I normally would have after about 40 AB of under .200 BA, I might wait it out until tomorrow except for the addition of Pete Rose today to maybe generate some runs and hits.
David Cone lost his spot in the starting rotation after winning only 1 start in the first two months. I replaced him with Tim Lincecum.
The rest of the rotation to this point:
J. Santana 4-5, 4.63 ERA
D. Gooden 2-4, 5.01 ERA
S. Koufax 5-2, 3.36 ERA
R. Halladay 7-3, 2.67 ERA
Cone replaces Lincecum in the bullpen & the rest of the bullpen's #'s to this point look like this:
Rivera 0.81 ERA, 22.1 IP
Mathewson 2.59 ERA, 41.2 IP
P. Martinez 3.07 ERA, 14.2 IP
J. deGrom 4.03 ERA, 22.1 IP
A. Chapman 9.45 ERA, 20.0 IP (10 saves in 27 total victories, though)...a couple real bad appearances.
