The great Felix Lopez, a sure future WPK Hall of Famer, went 4 for 5 in the last game of the 1976 regular season to get to 2,500 career hits (he sits at 2,503 now) as the first player in league history to reach that figure.
At age 33 Lopez remains one of the great hitters in the game and now has hit sights set on 3,000.
