The St. Michel Series
It's almost easy to forget this is a franchise in the FBL. Who are they? Where do they play?
Part of Ontario, this franchise lives under the wire, at least since 1962 when they qualified for their only post-season appearance. Those were the days that Fabrice Charlet imposed his will on visiting pitchers as he supplied the power to the Nobels his entire career. He was actually drafted by Le Diamant, but rejected their offer only to sign with a team that has languished in anonymity since that point.
St. Michel is off to a good start. Anytime this franchise is above .500 it is deemed good. They are speedy on the base paths especially after signing LeFevre (Ottawa free agent) to lead off. The problem is Lefevre is hitting only .155.
Yvonnick Rousell is the #1 SP on the team yet most baseball observers consider him no more than a middle of the rotation guy. Elliot Giquel provides middle of the line up pop.
Realistically, it could be another long season for the St. Michel faithful. This series will take place in St. Michel at the St. Michel Grounds ball park.
