With LaCoss and Jones the only rested bullpen options, I pushed Saberhagen to complete the game. And he stranded the tying run at third. Frank White had 2 solo homers.

Quisenberry blew his third save. Sheridan singled in 2 in the 8th to push us ahead 3-2. Frank White hit his 8th home run in the 5th. Cecil Cooper knocked in Jim Gantner and Ernie Riles in the 9th.
