Mid 1970's playoffs screwed up

After expansion of 1974, the game and in real life said the playoff format was as follows.

4 division winners will make the playoffs and earn byes to the 2nd round. The 2nd and 3rd place teams in each division will also qualify and be seeded 1-8 based on points for the first round. Each subsequent round will be reseeded based on points.

The game doesn't seem to do this. I've experience 3 playoffs after the expansion and the seeding doesn't make sense. Seems all over the place.

I'm also seeing the wrong teams getting home ice advantage. In my latest dynasty post, the Leafs, who won the Adams division, are starting the finals on the road to the 2nd place team in the Adams division. It isn't an isolated incident.

I also start new games in 75 and 76 to see if it would happen and indeed it did.....
