This trip to Cleveland has been a big boost to the Rangers team ERA as the Indians have scored just two runs in two games. It's easy to see why Cleveland has the worst record in baseball. The Indians are dead last in the AL in runs scored. Today is the rubber match.

The matchups do not reflect the outcomes here as Texas has won three out of four against Cleveland this season despite this supposedly being a bad matchup for the Rangers.

Jeff Burroughs picks up his 20th RBI of the season, bringing home Larry Biittner with a first inning double.

In the bottom of the first, Chambliss extends his hitting streak to 15 games with a bunt single.

Kubiak brought in a run with a second inning single and Biittner added a 2 RBI single.

After three: Texas 4 Cleveland 0.

In the top of the fifth, Kubiak beat out a double play to pick up an RBI.

Chambliss picked up an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth to get Cleveland on the board and then Fosse added a pair of ribbies himself as the Indians scored three in the inning.

In the top of the sixth, Nelson stole his twelfth base on the season and then Burroughs brought him home with an RBI single. Dick Billings delivered an RBI single as well and that would send Gaylord Perry to the showers. Toby Harrah added an RBI single as the Rangers matched Cleveland's 3 run fifth with a 3 run sixth.

After six: Texas 8 Cleveland 3.

Biittner added an RBI single in the top of the ninth.

Final score: Texas 9 Cleveland 3.
