I hated to get too excited when I noticed the draft pool because I was picking 10th, but Mattingly was the guy that I really wanted, despite not having the need. I was expecting we'd draft Frank Viola with our pick, but the Mets saved the day when they selected Gary Redus with the ninth pick.
Now it's time to find the right deal for Hernandez.
