2082 Season:

The SAN DIEGO PADRES were the world champions, defeating the 112-win Atlanta Braves in 6 games.

The OMAHA STORM CHASERS were relegated to the Pit of Despair. They finished 48-114, ten whole games behind the Auburn Doubledays for last place.

125 teams remain in Major League Baseball...

In Memoriam: Omaha Storm Chasers

AAA- Kansas City Royals

AAA Teams Remaining: 21

Royals Affiliates Remaining: 3/6

All Time Record: 5084-5414 (.484)

Best Season: 2074, 109-53, 3rd place

Best Hitter: Sergio Moreno (2029-2040)

"Popeye" Moreno signed out of the Dominican at the age of 16 in 2026. He got his first taste of the big leagues in '29 and became a regular two years later. He hit just 8 home runs in 547 plate appearances that year, but the power really turned on the following season when he hit 37. He learned to take walks later in his career too, as he had an OBP above .400 seven times. The Hall of Famer signed with the Dodgers in 2041 and retired in 2047 with 434 home runs, a .387 OBP, and 74.9 WAR.

Best Pitcher: Ron MacDougall (2063-2076)

A second round draft pick by Bowling Green in 2059, MacDougall was traded for two starting pitchers at the deadline in 2061. Two years later, he was the number three prospect in all of baseball. He began his career as a reliever, but he became a star after moving to the rotation. MacDougall won the Cy Young award in 2072 after posting a 2.39 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 242 strikeouts. In Omaha's third place season, he started just 9 games due to injury, but he had a career best 189 ERA+. After spending two years with Arkansas, he retired in 2078 following a solid season. He will be eligible for the Hall of Fame ballot next year.

Tacoma LF Ernesto Rebolledo led the league with a .371 batting average.

Quad Cities LF Arturo Luna led the league with 56 home runs and a .676 SLG.

Greeneville CF Chris Knight led the league with 9.5 WAR.

Round Rock SP Juan Ortega won the Cy Young after posting a 2.16 ERA with 307 strikeouts and an absurd 1.51 FIP.

Phillies closer Pantalião Almaa saved 51 games.

White Sox SP Jon Coronado led the league with 310 strikeouts.

Charlotte RF Zach Piazza homered in 8 consecutive games in late June and early July.

Rockies RF Jorge Quintana hit 13 home runs in 74 games, putting him 8th all time with 756. He could potentially pass Bonds and Harper next year.

The Nashville Sounds were the best MiLB team, going 100-62 and finishing in 5th place.

The Cincinnati Reds were the worst MLB team, going 73-88 and finishing in 95th place.
