Dallas Stars RD Liam Labelle has won the 2005 NHL MVP Award. The 28 year old had 11 goals and 52 points with 25 PIMs and a +23 rating in 72 games this season. This is the 1st award that Labelle has won.

Winnipeg Jets G Paul Blazek was named the 2005 NHL Playoffs MVP. The 27 year old had 12 wins with 2 SO's, a 1.88 GAA and a .928 SV% in 15 games in this years playoffs. Blazek was nominated in 2002 for the NHL Rookie of the Year and won a 2005 Stanley Cup.

Ottawa Senators G Candrakrti Ackerl was named the 2005 NHL Goalie of the Year. The 30 year old had 32 wins with 12 SO's, a 1.86 GAA and a .924 SV% in 59 games. Ackerl was nominated for the 2001 NHL Rookie of the Year.

Chicago Blackhawks G Eduard Kryuvyshanka was named the 2005 NHL Rookie of the Year. The 22 year old had 25 wins with 7 SO's, a 2.66 GAA and a .906 SV% in 49 games. Previously Kryuvyshanka has won the 2001 CHL Rookie of the Year, 2001 CHL Goalie of the Year and nominated for the 2003 AHL Rookie of the Year Award.

New York Rangers RW Lukas Kocian has won the 2005 NHL Best Defensive Forward Award. The 21 year old had 29 goals and 65 points with 70 PIMS and a +27 rating in 72 games for the Rangers. He was previously nominated for the 2001 CHL Best Defensive Forward Award, he won the 2002 CHL Points Award, 2002 CHL Goal Scorer Award, 2002 CHL Best Defensive Forward Award and 2002 CHL MVP Award. He also won a Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 2004 and was nominated for the 2004 NHL Best Defensive Forward Award.

Chicago Blackhawks LW Isaac Tokarski has won the 2005 NHL Goal Scorer Award. The 22 year old had 38 goals and 78 points with 52 PIMs and a +13 rating in 72 games this year. This is the NHL's 1st overall pick in 2001 first award win.

New York Rangers LW Francois Roy has won the 2005 NHL Points Award. The 30 year old had 35 goals and 83 points with 32 PIMs and a +15 rating in 72 games. Roy won a 2004 NHL Stanley Cup with the Rangers.

New York Rangers LW Chris Wilgosh has won the 2005 NHL Plus Minus Award. The 21 year old had 23 goals and 43 points with 37 PIMs and a +33 rating in 72 games. Wilgosh was nominated for the 2002 CHL Best Defensive Forward Award, the 2003 NHL Best Defensive Forward Award and the 2005 NHL Best Defensive Forward Award. Wilgosh did win a 2004 Stanley Cup with the Rangers.
