So I have an iphone 4 and my wife has an ipad. I fully expect to buy 2 games one for each device (she has a new car so I can use her iPad when we drive around  )
I don't understand this universal app idea and the implications about buying/not buying an upgrade later.
Do I understand correctly that the iPad would be a free upgrade but the iPhone would not?
