2032 Season:

The SAN DIEGO PADRES won their first World Series in franchise history, defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in 7 games. Not only did they come back from a 3-1 deficit, but they scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning to win Game 7.

The RENO ACES fell into the pit of despair after finishing in last place. They finished 52-110, just one game behind the Kannapolis Intimidators and Tampa Tarpons for last place. The Aces are the first AAA team to be eliminated from the league.

175 teams remain in Major League Baseball...

Notes:

Orioles left fielder Jorge "Speedboat" Contreras led the league in home runs for the second year in a row, hitting 65. The league MVP was worth 11.6 WAR and had a .725 slugging percentage.

Stockton shortstop Bobby Hood struck out only 229 times in his third season. His .271 OBP and .623 OPS are career bests.

Mike Trout signed a three year deal with the San Antonio Missions this past offseason. In 115 games, he hit 25 home runs with a .369 OBP. His 2.2 WAR was his best since 2029, his final season in Anaheim. He now has 883 career home runs, and barring disaster will pass Cody Bellinger next season for the most all time.

Seven years after his Cy Young season with Wilmington, Atlanta Braves SP Kiril de Loera led all pitchers with 8.9 WAR. He went 23-5 with a 2.54 ERA, walking fewer than one batter per nine innings.

On the final day of the season, Cardinals left fielder Dan Fallon hit his 500th career home run. Though he has hit 50 home runs 7 times, he has never led the league. The 2029 MVP is just 31 years old.

The Tacoma Rainiers were the best minor league team, going 111-52 and finishing in third place. They lost a Game 163 tiebreaker against the Phillies to go to the World Series. Consistently selling out a 42,000 seat stadium, the Rainiers have all the resources of an MLB team.

The Cincinnati Reds were the worst MLB team, going 84-78 and finishing in 70th place. It was the first time since 2027 that no MLB team finished below .500.

Corey Kluber and Giancarlo Stanton were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
