June 5 - Jeff McKeeman (29-R) of Minnesota pitched a 2 hit shutout at Salt Lake City. He did not walk a batter and struck out 4. It is his 3rd shutout of the season. He is now 6-2 with a 3.76 ERA in 12 starts. The Twins won, 12 to 0.
June 5 - Sergio Peralta (26-R) of Boston pitched a 2 hit shutout at Brooklyn. He walked 1, hit 1 and struck out 3. It is his 4th shutout of the season. He is now 10-2 with a 2.14 ERA in 13 starts. The Braves won, 4 to 0.
