I'm attempting to create an online league that I've been wanting to create for awhile now. I am at a roadblock though and I'm hoping the incredibly knowledgeable squires of this forum could assist me.

I am looking for a player database that features current and historical players. So, Nolan Ryan could pitch against Babe Ruth for example. Basically, I would like them to have ratings similar to their success in real life just different birthdates. I've seen this done in the past, so I know it exists somewhere, but I cannot seem to locate it. Anyone know where I could find a database like this? or another way I could make this happen in my league?
