Today is the rubber match in the series in Baltimore between the Rangers and the Orioles.

In the bottom of the first, Powell hit a two run homer 399 feet.

In the bottom of the second, the Orioles loaded the bases with two out. Rettunmond flied outto center to end the inning.

Cuellar had a no-hitter through three.

After three: Baltimore 2 Texas 0.

In the top of the fourth, Nelson got a one out single to break up the no-hitter. But the Rangers failed to score.

In the bottom of the fifth, Johnson tacked on an RBI single. With a runner on first and two out, Mike Paul took the mound for the Rangers and got the final out of the inning.

In the bottom of the sixth, Etchebarren hit a solo home run.

After six: Baltimore 4 Texas 0.

Jim Panther took the mound for the Rangers in the bottom of the eighth. Etchebarren got an RBI with a sacrifice fly. The Orioles went on to load the bases with two out before Powell struck out to end the inning.

In the top of the ninth, Nelson knocked one in with a single. Burroughs added his own RBI single. Then Howard also got an RBI single. With runners at the corners and one out, Grant Jackson took the mound for the Orioles and got Mincher to ground into the game-ending 6-4-3.

The Orioles tallied another 11 hits in the win.

Final score: Baltimore 5 Texas 3.
