I recently signed a prospect from the International Amateur pool. My scout wasn't overly crazy about him but the OOTP shows him to be a potential 5 star SP. The reason I went hard to get him is that he is also listed by both scouts as being a potentially talented outfielder (both hitting and fielding).

What I was going to try is this: change his position from an SP to CF. He will then still show up on my pitching options. I was going to slot him in to the rotation and still have him as my everyday (minus one in five) CF.

Has anyone ever tried this? And if so what were the results/pitfalls?
Any real life examples?
