Haven't posted in a week, but things turned around pretty well.

July saw me go 15-11 and move as high as 4th place in the standings. It was all on the strength of the pitching which really carried the team all year, despite not having 3 of my top starters for most of the season.

In August, we went 14-12 and dropped to 5th place in the standings. September was a little rough at 13-13. October was 5-4 to finish the season at 79-75, a 27-win improvement over my first year as manager.

All in all, a pretty good second season, finishing tied for 4th with pitching ranked 3rd in the league and batting ranked 5th in the league.

Josh Devore cooled off in the 2nd half of the season, but finished with a team leading .311 AVG, while Fred Snodgrass picked it up in the second half to finish at .307 in his first full season.

Walter Johnson settled in with a 22-15, 2.00 ERA season. He had 8 1-run losses.

My old team, the St Louis Browns made it to the World Series, but lost in 7 games to the Phillies. I could clearly see the AI completely mishandled the pitchers in the series, pitching their worst starter twice (and lost twice) in the series, while aces Three-Finger Brown and Orvie Overall did not pitch at all in the series. The Browns led the majors with a 1.84 ERA with a rotation of Jack Pfiester (33-19, 1.89 ERA), Three Finger Brown (17-9, 1.58 ERA), Orvie Overall (17-8, 1.53 ERA), Rube Waddell (13-10, 2.11 ERA), and Frank Smith (12-10, 1.89 ERA).
