Walkers news: May 24 -- St. Louis 2, Springfield 0

Record: 23-21, 2nd (Tied/w. Cedar Rapids), 2.5 GB Springfield
Kyle Hendricks took a no-hitter into the sixth inning after Rhys Hoskins had hit a solo homer in the top of that inning to help give St. Louis a 2-0 win over Springfield at Olympic Stadium.
Hendricks did not allow a hit until a pinch-hit single by Michael Brantley with one out in the sixth.
Errors by Hoskins at first base and by second baseman Bo Bichette allowed the Prairie Fighters to load the bases with two outs.
But Hendricks struck out Trevor Lanarch to get out of the jam.
The River Walkers got their second run in the ninth after Bichette led off with a single off Matt Andriese. He stole second and scored on a two-out single from Trevor Barnhart.
John Curtiss relieved Hendricks after the sixth inning and pitched a scoreless seventh and recorded the first out of the eighth.
Jake Diekman finished off the eighth. The ninth belonged to Grant Dayton who recorded his first save without an incident.
