Walkers news: April 20 -- St. Louis 3, Quad City 0

Record: 5-4, 2nd (Tied/w. Quad City), 2 GB Des Moines
Argenis Batista and four relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as St. Louis defeated Quad City 3-0 at Busch Stadium (1997).
With the win, the River Walkers took the final two games of a three-game series.
St. Louis got the only run it needed in the bottom of the third, when Batista singled with one out of Thunder starting pitcher Michael Santos.

A walk to Bo Bichette moved him to second before a walk to Christian Arroyo loaded the bases.
Andrew Benintendi then scored Batista with a sacrifice fly
Rhys Hoskins drove in the game's other two runs with a home run off Joe Kelly with one out in the eighth.
On the mound, Batista worked 6.1 shutout innings, he's yet to allow an earned run in two starts, allowing four hits while striking out eight and walking one.
Phil Maton and Tony Cingrani recorded an out apiece to get out of the seventh.
John Curtiss worked a scoreless eighth. Tommy Kahnle sent Quad City down in order in the ninth for his second save.
