Tonight in Houston concludes the Colt .45s two game series against the Cincinnati Reds. The Colt .45s have lost an even dozen games in a row.

Rumor has it that Chicago White Sox C Sherm Lollar is on the trading block.

In the top of the first, Robinson got the scoring started with a two run double. Farrell injured his shoulder on the pitch and had to leave the game. With Robinson on second and nobody out, Dave Giusti took the mound for the Colt .45s and he got out of the inning.

After three: Cincinnati 2 Houston 0.

With two out in the top of the fourth, Bobby Shantz took the mound for the Colt .45s.

In the bottom of the fourth, Ranew put the Colt .45s on the board with an RBI double. Taussig then brought Ranew home with a single to tie the game.

After six: Cincinnati 2 Houston 2.

In the top of the seventh, the Reds regained the lead when Lynch hit an RBI single.

Cardenas led off the top of the eighth with a 436 foot blast to left center.

Jim Umbricht took the mound for the Colt .45s in the top of the ninth. The Reds loaded the bases with two out. Blasingame grounded to second to retire the side.

The Colt .45s went down in order in the bottom of the ninth.

The Reds pounded out 13 hits in the victory.

Final score: Cincinnati 4 Houston 2.
