Shannon Stewart leads in single season SB with just 56? Wow! Wait 'til you hit the 1980s. Any fast guys are gonna hammer that record like a pinata.

Jim Clancy with 181 walks in a single season? How many innings did he pitch? Oof!

Looks like Mario Soto was a beast in your league. Is he still pitching or has he wound it down? What are his numbers like?

Ah Ken Phelps...One of the original "3-true outcome" guys. It's too bad he didn't get more playing time IRL. Could've been even more of a beast than he was.

I guess your HoF must be in it's very early stages (23 seasons so far). How's it looking?
Joey Bats was a blast to watch in the early years of my league. Imported at age 33, so basically he was out of recalc after his first year. He was a walks machine, leading the league 9 times, and 6 straight years, 1952-1957. Dude only had 2 seasons under 100 walks. 1951 a year in which he started only 105 of his 133 games. 89 in his final season. He was 44 years old.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing that stolen base record obliterated. I've only had 3 players so far reach 50. Stewart, already mentioned. Chone Figgins stole 55 in 1969 and Hal Chase stole 50 in 1960.

Jim Clancy pitched 238.2 innings in 1956, the year he walked 181. He went 14-18 that year with a 4.83 ERA. Jim is still active at 38. He's been a bullpen pitcher for the last 5 season. He is 180-164, 4.03. 1245 career walks vs 1678 strikeouts. 96 ERA+ 20.0 WAR. Clancy has pitched 19 seasons, pitching for 8 of the 12 Southern League franchises.

Ah Mario Soto, a poster child for one year recalc. Soto was part of the 1957 draft and started his career at the age of 19, pitching for the Baton Rouge Artillery. Soto found his groove at the age of 23, 1962. He went 10-8, 2.60 with a 171 strikeouts. The following season 1963, he went 12-15, 3.03 with a league best 328 strikeouts. 1964 would prove to be Soto's best, 16-13, 2.15(league best), 289 innings pitched(league best), only 59 walks and 376 strikeouts he had a WHIP of 0.88 and a 171ERA+ and 13.6 WAR(league best). 1965, 17-10, 2.25, 272 strikeouts and another sub 1 WHIP, 0.99. 16-12, 2.86, 226 strikeouts in 1966. Then the wheels start coming off the bus. 10-13 4.33 in 1967. 2-5 4.50 during the year of the pitcher. He is still active, but is on his teams reserve roster. Career 99-93, 2.94 1807 strikeouts.

The Hall only has 3 members, all pitchers at this time, Clayton Kershaw, Pedro Martinez and Felix Hernandez. We should get our first position player real soon Puig is now eligible. He missed the cut on his first ballot, but he is a sure thing. Duke Snider is also coming soon. Another sure thing.
