Yeah, I wish there was some sort of manual that described in detail how the mechanics of the game (based on the original board game) work as far as how things change throughout the fight when different things occur. For example, like exactly how the strategies effect the ratings.

The Commodore 64 version of "Title Bout" was excellent about doing so, and in many ways was a superior version to 2.5 (And it was made in the mid 1980s!)

The C64 version constantly made you aware of how the dynamics of the fight were changing. For example, if you chose the strategy "Fight Inside" and won the round, after the round it would say something like "Rocky Marciano won that round fighting inside and his opponents Stamina is Reduced by 15 extra points!" or "Tony Galento took severe punishment that round and will be TKOd if knocked down next round!"

The C64 was the direct replica of the board game in digital format and it was done absolutely perfect. If it had the bells and whistles of todays versions it would be the dream boxing game. Also included with the C64 version was a thick manual, describing in detail how the mechanics of the board game worked, so you always knew what was going on in the game, and it made it so much more immersive.
