Sam Rogers was one of the original Brewers and the team's captain for the three plus years of the team's existence.
Yesterday the 36-year old 3-time All-Star catcher announced he would be calling it quits as a player at the end of the current season. Rogers was wildly popular with Brewers fans and has been a great leader during his career and he will be missed. But don't be too surprised if he turns up again in a coaching role before long.
