Bobby Doerr Turns 99
Bobby Doerr, the longest living Hall Of Famer in history, turned 99 the day before yesterday (Friday, April 7). He is also the last survivor among a couple of thousand players who played major league baseball in the 1930s.
His entire career was as a Boston Red Sox second baseman from 1937 to 1951, except for two years of military service during World War Two.
