Jameson Tailon pitched into the sixth inning and a quartet of relievers handled the rest as Kansas City defeated St. Louis 2-0 at Municipal Stadium (1969).
With the win, the Pit Masters grabbed the final game of the three-game series.
Taillon went 5.1 innings,not allowing a run and just four hits. He struck out one and didn't walk anyone.
Ryan Dull got the final two outs of the sixth inning.
Andrew Ryan, Juan Minaya and Ryan Burr all recorded three outs apiece to complete the shutout.
Burr earned his 13th save of the season.
The Masters got the only run they would need early, as Tyler Wade drew a lead-off walk from St. Louis starter Aaron Nola and scored when the next batter, Mookie Betts, hit a double.
The game's only other run came in the fifth after Brett Phillips led off with a triple off Nola and scored on a Yasmani Grandal groundout.
Nola worked seven innings, giving up two runs on four hits.
