Walkers news: June 30 -- Rockford 3, St. Louis 1

Record: 41-38, 2nd (Tied/w. Springfield), 3 GB Cedar Rapids
Aaron Civale allowed one run over seven innings to help pitch Rockford to a 3-1 win over St. Louis at Busch Stadium (1997).
With the win, Rockford took the final two games of the three-game series against the River Walkers.
The only run allowed by Civale came in the bottom of the fourth, a solo homer from Andrew Benintendi which made it 3-1.
Civale allowed just three hits in his seven innings. He struck out two and walked none.
An RBI single from Charlie Blackmon in the first inning off Walkers starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks put Rockford up 1-0.
The Lightning added single runs in the third and fourth inning -- Yoenis Cespedes scored a run with a sacrifice fly in the third and Jorge Alfaro took Hendricks deep with two outs in the fourth -- to account for all of its runs.
Mychel Givens pitched a scoreless eighth inning for Rockford.
Craig Kimbrel did the same in the ninth, striking out the side, for his 11th save.
