Yu Darvish allowed a single run while pitching into the seventh inning before leaving with a back issue to help St. Louis to a 6-1 win over Chicago at Wrigley Field (1979).
Darvish allowed one run on two hits over 6.2 innings before back stiffness forced his exit. He struck out nine and walked one.
Darvish is expected to miss a week. It is uncertain if he will be placed on the injured list.
The G-Men's Josh Donaldson led off the bottom of the second with a homer off Darvish to give his team a 1-0 lead.
Christian Arroyo helped St. Louis respond in the top of the fourth with a two-run homer off G-Men starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani.
An RBI single from Rhys Hoskins off Jamie Callahan in the seventh put the River Walkers up 3-1.
Hoskins later smacked a three-run homer off Sean Doolittle in the ninth to cap the scoring.
Walkers reliever Reyes Moronta finished the seventh inning and got all but the final out of the game.
Omar Garcia handled that duty, striking out Jabari Blash with the bases loaded to end it.
