Here's something that really bugs me though: this is a card playing game with the goal of finding the best 25 cards to use against everybody else's best 25 cards and yet I just opened up 150 packs and out of the 900 new cards I just pulled there was 2 that I could use on my team.

To make an even finer point the team that I pulled all these packs has never made it past Gold and 898 of the 900 cards offered no value for being a better choice and that is really disappointing. I think something needs to be addressed in future versions to make more cards viable, not necessarily better, but at least give the players options to build different rosters.
