In the top of the second, Hermann delivered an RBI single. An infield single by Brown loaded the bases with one out. But Morales grounded into the 4-6-3 to retire the side.

Kelly led off the top of the third with his 10th double of the season. Allen brought Kelly home with a groundout to third.

Wood had a no-hitter through three.

After three: Chicago 2 Texas 0.

Rogers struck out May to start the top of the fourth for his 30th K of the season.

Maddox got a one out single in the bottom of the fourth for the Rangers first hit of the game. Burroughs then brought Maddox home with an RBI single.

In the top of the sixth, May delivered an RBI single.

In the bottom of the sixth, Harrah brought Nelson home with a sacrifice fly for his 20th RBI of the season.

After six: Chicago 3 Texas 2.

In the bottom of the seventh, Wood struck out Mangual for his 40th K of the season.

The White Sox loaded the bases with one out in the top of the eighth. It was May with a two-run single. Suarez then committed the Rangers second error of the inning and the White Sox again had bases loaded with one out. Pete Broberg took the mound for the Rangers and Brown cleared the bases with a 3-run triple, the White Sox 10th hit of the game. Brown then scored on a Morales groundout. Three straight singles and the White Sox had the bases loaded with two out. Allen then brought home a run with an infield hit. The Rangers third error of the inning allowed another run to score. May then grounded to short to finally end the 8-run inning.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Rangers loaded the bases with two out. But Burroughs grounded to third to end the inning.

In the top of the ninth, Kelly hit an RBI double. Orta had an RBI single.

Grieve led off the bottom of the ninth with a home run.

The White Sox out hit the Rangers 16-6.

Final score: Chicago 13 Texas 3.
