Week 2

Fan Interest: 51
Owners Mood: Happy
Current Week: 4-2 (overall 6-7 2 GB 3rd place)
Next Week: 3 vs New Castle, 3 vs Milford

Game 8:
Norfolk 5, Chesapeake 4 (21 innings)
These are the type of games that will ruin your bullpen and your average. Jose Rodriguez crushed a 3-1 fastball 448 feet (HR 2) for the victory and to end a 13 inning scoreless streak. Brian Cline (HR 2) and Julie Romero (HR 1) each homered as well for the Cav's. Jose Rodriguez lead the team with 3 hits. Mauro Candelaria went 0-8, dropping his average to .235. Scott Smith went 8.0 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, showing that he can pitch at this level. Theo Patherick and Antonio Hernandez both went 4 innings of shutout relief. Dalton Whitaker went the final 2.2 innings getting his first win (1-0)

Game 9:
Norfolk 2, Chesapeake 5
Tsuneo Sato gave us just what we needed, pitching a complete game, even though he took the loss (0-2) not needing to use the bullpen was huge. Sato scattered 7 hits and 5 runs over 8 innings. Gilberto Ramos (HR 2) and Pablo Freitas (HR 2) lead the offense with 2 hits, each with a HR.

Game 10:
Norfolk 3, Chesapeake 6
Danny Rigsby struggled again going 4 innings, giving up 7 hits and 5 runs. Rigsby is unhappy as starter, and is bringing the team down. We will see what we can do to make him happy... Jacob Chaney lead the offense with 3 hits and Brian Cline added a HR (HR 3).

Game 11:
Baltimore 4, Norfolk 5
Don Sweetapple kept warm going 8 innings giving up 11 hits and 4 runs for the win (2-0) while Jack Clow (SV 3) closed the door. Each starter had ONE hit, 9 total. Brain Cline stayed hot hitting HR #4.

Game 12:
Baltimore 0, Norfolk 3
Carlos Mateo went 8 innings giving up 1 hit for the win (1-1) and Jack Clow pitched a perfect 9th for the save (SV 4). Mauro Candelaria and Brian Cline each had 2 hits (Cline had 2 2B's).

Game 13:
Baltimore 3, Norfolk 6
Scott Smith went 8 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs for the win (1-0), while Theo Petherick closed out the 9th for his first save. The offense flexed their muscle going deep 3 times; Pablo Fritas (3), Gilberto Ramos (3), Ralph Pierce (1). Mauro Candelaria lead the offense with 3 hits... Our first series win and 3 game win streak. Lets hope it carries on.

Players of the Week:
Delaware: Glen Hall (Newark Millers) 10-22 3 HR's 8 RBI
Marva: Thomas Cooper (Chesapeake Blue Crabs) 13-31 4 HR, 9 RBI
