The answer for me was buy a new computer. For some reason the facegen worked on my old Win7 even though it wasn't suppose to(the 3D didn't work and I was ok with that). When I upgraded to Win10 the facegen no longer worked. So I ended up buying a new rig that supported 3D with a dedicated video card.
