Walkers news: April 6 -- St. Louis 2, Rockford 0

Record: 4-2, 2nd. 0.5 GB Des Moines
Alex Faedo pitched 7.1 innings of scoreless ball to help lead St. Louis to a 2-0 win over Washington at RFK Stadium (1962).
Faedo allowed just four hits while striking out two and walking one during his time on the mound.
He left with runners at first and second with one out in the eighth.
Brad Hand came on to retire the next two batters and keep it 2-0.
After blowing a save the previous day, River Walkers closer Edwin Diaz was perfect in the ninth for his second save.
St. Louis got the only run it needed in the second inning when Jean Carmona drew a lead-off walk from Lightning starting pitcher Gunnar Hoglund.
Carmona stole second and moved to third on a ground out.
Edmond Americaan chased him home with a single.
Christian Arroyo hit a two-out homer off Hoglund in the sixth to make it 2-0.
