Walkers news: April 4: Kansas City 1, St. Louis 0

Record: 2-2, 3rd (Tied/w. Kansas City), 0.5 GB Des Moines and Springfield
Johnny Kuhn Jr. handled the first six innings and a trio of relievers did the rest as Kansas City shut out St. Louis for the second consecutive game 1-0 at Kansas Municipal Stadium (1969).
With the victory, the Pit Masters split the four-game series which opened the season for both teams.The River Walkers have gone 19 innings without scoring a run.
Kuhn allowed two hits during his six innings. He struck out two and walked one.
Kyle Nelson, Andrew Ryan and Austin Hansen all worked an inning apiece to complete the shutout.
Hansen earned his first save of the season.

The Walkers outhit the Masters 7-2. Jean Carmona had three of those hits for St. Louis.
The game's lone run came in the bottom of the first on a two-out solo homer from Yordan Alvarez off Walkers starter Stephen Brault.
