Strangeverse 2069 Season
May 2069:
NCAA: The Tennessee Volunteers ran roughshod over the competition in the May Madness Tournament to capture their first ever NCAA Championship and the first ever championship under the new expanded format. Well, they actually didn’t quite run roughshod over the competition as each of their victories were secured by a single-run before winning the final over the Troy Trojans by two runs, 4-2.
2069 NCAA Final Four: Tennessee defeats Ole Miss (9-8); Troy defeats the Washington State (5-3).
2069 NCAA Championship: Tennessee defeats Troy (4-2)
Season MVP: SP Nacho Valadez, Nebraska (21 years old, 80 Potential). Valadez was quite impressive with a 5-1 record and a 1.16 ERA. In 8 starts and 70 innings, he struck out 115 and gave up 51 hits and 15 walks. Teams hit .195 against him.
