Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Newport News were also in the running for multiple teams, including the relocating Nationals in 2004. Thanks to the great Stadium Pages site, I ran across this concept for a new stadium:

and combined it with the current field. It was a pretty straightforward project and one of the quicker ones to build.

The park is very pitcher friendly in real life - kind of like an east coast ATT/PacBell/SBC/Oracle? Park. I guess that's the advantage of that heavy sea air.
