05/23/1973 - Bradley Win Pushes Giants Record to 23-21
The San Francisco Giants got a stellar performance from pitcher Tom Bradley, who handcuffed the Atlanta offense en route to a 4-2 win at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. Bradley picked up the win for San Francisco, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. Randy Moffitt earned the save, his 1st.
Steve R Ontiveros, who is the 4th-best prospect in the Giants organization, aided the San Francisco cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Ontiveros. Kingman had staked him to a lead with a big fly off of RHP Roric Harrison.
