Montreal went 5-2 on the week to pull back to .500. The Saints are in the middle of an 18 game road trip (on which they've gone 7-4 thus far). Seven more road games (2 in Cleveland, 4 in Philadelphia, and 1 in Brooklyn) remain before they can head back to Parc Cartier.

Tattersall hit two more home runs this week, increasing his baseball leading total to 9. Carl Martin of Cleveland is 2nd in the Continental Association with 5.

Bill Morris and George Scott were removed from the rotation, and the pitching staff stepped up big. Though it wasn't always pretty, Sam Young won both of his starts on the week. John Newton was returned to Minneapolis without throwing a pitch for Montreal as young Andy Chastain was claimed off of waivers from the Boston Minutemen. Chastain will pitch out of the Montreal bullpen for now so the coaching staff can see what they have to work with.

Minor League News and Notes

Class A Evansville finally lost a game. The Hawks had their 22 game winning streak broken by Lincoln in a 4-3 loss. They did win the next four games however to improve to an incredible 32-5. They now have a 7 game lead over Lincoln in the Heartland League. Evansville right fielder Red Manuel was the Heartland player of the week, going 12-24 with 2 home runs and 13 runs batted in. Manuel was inserted into the lineup when Tony Morris was promoted to Nashville a couple of weeks ago.

Class AAA right fielder Jimmy Endler (Montreal's #6 ranked prospect) was the Century League's Player of the Week after he went 12 for 27 with 3 home runs, 8 runs batted in, and 6 runs scored. Endler is currently slashing .327/.350/.527 with 5 home runs and 11 stolen bases.
