June 1 -- St. Louis 5, Milwaukee 0

Record: 25-27, 4th, 4.5 GB Cedar Rapids
Aaron Nola picked up his first win of the season and did it in a big way, pitching 8.2 shutout innings and hitting a three-run home run in a 5-0 St. Louis win over Milwaukee at Busch Stadium (1997).
The victory snapped a six-game losing streak for the River Walkers.
Nola took a shutout into the ninth inning and got the first two outs, but had to depart after his pitch count got to 115.
With a runner at first, Grant Dayton took the mound. He allowed a single to Brett Cumberland putting runners at the corners.
Dayton struck out Josh Ockiemy to end it.
Ender Inciarte provided St. Louis with the only run it would need in the bottom of the first when he led off the game with a solo homer off Keg Lifters starting pitcher Mike Shawaryn.
Tucker Barnhart led off fifth with a single off Milwaukee reliever D.J. Snelten and later scored when Snelten threw a wild pitch.
Nola made it 5-0 with a three-run homer off Chasen Bradford in the sixth.
