Giverney at Paris
The 21-34 Herons travel to Paris to take on the 36-19 Artists.
Game 1 Brun 5-5 vs Merlin 4-4
Extra innings before the Artists walk it off courtesy of Johan Girards third dinger of the season. Otto Gaudreau, 28 year old call up from AAA, gets his first win. Merlin didn't allow any runs in 7 IP but Dupin coughed up 2 runs in the 9th that sent it to extra's.
Game 2 LeGrand 3-4 vs Henri 4-6
Julien goes 8 innings scattering 10 hits and a walk which is good enough when your bats give you 13 hits, 2 walks, and a homer. The Artists win it as they double up the Herons, 8-4. Mercier, who seemingly can't be stopped, homers and bats in 4.
Game 3 Lepine 2-6 vs Smith 6-2
The Artists out hit the Herons 10-3 as they cruised to a series sweep by the score of 5-1. CF, Julien Henri, went 2 for 5 with an RBI and a swipe. Sam Smith goes to 7-2 as he didn't allow any earned runs. Sam, featured in his throwback AAA uniform, is keeping the ball in the yard which has helped him become a successful SP. His microscopic .2/9 IP ratio has pitching coach Christophe Martin singing his praise for the right hander.
