Walkers news: Sept. 11 -- St. Louis 6, Twin Cities 5

Record: 83-57, 1st, 6 GA Springfield
Alex Faedo earned his 13th win by allowing one run over seven innings, but St. Louis still had to survive a wild finish to down Twin Cities 6-5 at Busch Stadium (1997).
Faedo (13-5) took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before allowing a one-out single to Will Banfield.
He carried a 2-0 lead into the seventh before he allowed a run.
Jonathan India led off with a single and moved to third on a Jake Burger double.
India later scored on a one-out ground out by Byron Buxton.
The Walkers seemed in good shape after it scored four times in the bottom of the eighth to go up 6-21.
Carlos Vidal drove in the first two with a double off Snow Cats reliever Tobias Myers.
Rhys Hoskins and Andrew Benintendi later added run-scoring doubles, both off Mike Shawryn.
But Twin Cities managed to make it interesting.
Rookie right-hander Adam Wenger stepped in to take the mound, as closer Edwin Diaz stepped aside after the lead had grown to five runs.
The Cats jumped on Wenger right away, India leading off the inning with a homer.
After a ground out, Roc Riggio singled and Byron Buxton walked to put two runners aboard.
Wenger struck out Colton Welker for the second out.
But he could not close it out.
Will Banfield walked to load the bases and chase Wegner in favor of Danny Grigg.
Pinch-hitter Eloy Jimenez greeted Grigg with a double, which scored two.
A wild pitch with Sammy Siani at the plate made it 6-5.
Grigg, however, got Drew Bowser to pop out to end it.
The ugly save was the fourth of the season for Grigg.
Going back to Faedo, he allowed the one run on four hits. He struck out 13 in seven innings and walked just one.
The Walkers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on solo homers from Bo Bichette and Andrew Benintendi off Cats starter Carson Fulmer.
