Royals hit a wall in Paris

The Artists showcased all of their skills the past three days to roll to a relatively comfortable sweep of the Montreal Royals. They hit well, pitched very well, and flashed GG level skills in the field while playing error less baseball even turning three twin killings in the final contest.

Montreal is no doubt happy to be out of Paris and away from Laurant Mercier who tore through their pitching staff like it was batting practice. Mercier. He had 7 hits a double, two walks, three home runs, scored six, and batted in six. He does this while playing out of position at third base as the team attempts to compensate for the shortcomings of former first round draft pick Bruno Proust (.180/.261/.180).

Even the strong arm of Antonio Balbuena was neutralized in his 8 inning CG effort. Paris won that game 4-1 dropping the pitcher who was leading the league in wins to 8-2 for the season.

23.2 IP is the number that Paris received from the starters during the series as 16 hits were all the Royals could manage. Montreal will continue their road trip in Martinique as they will face Cap Chevalier the team with the worst record in the FBL.

Julien Henri was the POG in the opener as he singled, doubled, and homered batting in three runs. He sat out the final game of the series in preparation for his start the next day.
