The Oakland Oaks are in town to play a 3 game series over the weekend to close out our home schedule for this season. They just split a pair in Los Angeles. We are 10-2 against them on the season and won 2 of 3 the last time the were in Portland, June 10-12. The Oaks are 11th in scoring in the PCL with 3.43 runs per game (Portland is tied for #4 with 4.24). They are 5th in fewest runs allowed with 3.96 per game (Portland is #1 with 3.13).

Oakland Oaks (65-88 .425 31 GB in 5th place in the PCL West) at
Portland Beavers (96-57 .627 in 1st place in the PCL West)

OAK: Tony Jimenez (23-L 3-4 2.61) Rookie vs. POR: Brian Hagans (26-R 5-3 3.05) Rookie

Jimenez does not throw hard (89 MPH), but is deceptive and strikes a lot of batters out. 7.7 per 9 innings, so far. We have never faced him.

Hagans was so-so in his last outing, allowing 3 runs and 7 hits in 6 innings, but got the win.
